This is one of two local chippies in Whitworth and is the better of the two in my opinion. Service is friendly from the lovely Nicola and the chips are fresh and cooked well. Portion sizes are good and prices are reasonable. My only critique is that they don't do Chinese Curry, it's just English or Irish which are a bit bland. Most other local chippys do the Chinese Curry so that's the only let down for me. Everything else is spot on, especially the fish and gravy.

I've tried to try this place for years, but I'm usually either too early or too late. But I was not disappointed.. quite possibly the best fish chips and peas I've had in a long time. Will deffo book my jobs closer to lunch than usual .

I had a fish supper which was enjoyable. The fish was fresh and the batter was crispy, slightly greasy but what you expect really. The chips were a large portion and nicely cut with crispy-ish skin and fluffy potato inside. Very nice. The English curry sauce went down well with the fish and chips dipped in. The price was fairly cheap also.

Went in a couple of weeks ago; lovely lady behind the counter. Freshly cooked fish n chips. Lovely, absolutely delicious. Will be going tonight for more and post a positive review on The Fish n Chips appreciation society on Facebook. Worthy of the recognition.

We have been to Whitworth Chippy several times. The fish is the best fish we have ever had from any chippy. The lady who serves at the shop is really friendly and makes you feel like a valued customer.

Went there for the first time on Saturday with my grand daughter. The ladies working there were brilliant, chatty and very helpful. The meals portions were generous and the taste extremely delicious. Will most definitely recommend it to anyone who likes chippy and we will certainly re-visit Whitworth Chippy.

Thought id treat myself this evening and decided to check out this chippy for the first time, as I gave recently moved round the area. Really impressed with the welcoming and friendly staff and the owner. Had fish chips and peas and I must say that there wasn't any faults with the meal the battered fish was fresh and cooked perfectly and the chips and peas were lovely. Ill be back :)
